Recruiters' fees, travel costs, relocation packages, signing bonuses...all the costs of recruiting or relocating top talent are irrelevant if your candidate can't see themselves, and their family, fitting into their new community.
We are community-oriented specialists who understand how important it is to start their new journey with a warm welcome. We will introduce your relocating team-member to those amenities that will make the difference between their loved ones sacrificing and them thriving. The impacts of our work can make a significant difference in how quickly they are able to adjust, fit in to the community, and achieve their full potential.
Why Community Insiders?
"Research on why (professional) relocations fail always points to the unhappiness of the trailing spouse"
- Jennifer Petrigilieri, Assistant Professor, INSEAD
"Relocating for a job can be "great for your personal and professional development". But it's also "a risk and a leap into the unknown....It's not just what does this mean for our career, it's what does this mean for our family".
- Matthew Bidwell, Assistant Professor, Wharton Business School
We are engaged community members who have lived, served and raised children in the neighborhoods where executives and professionals live. We take the time to share our knowledge and resources to help your candidate and their family discover what makes your community an outstanding place to be. We help to get them plugged in quickly.
What We Do
COMMUNITY INSIDERS TYPICALLY ENGAGE
IN TWO WAYS:
COMMUNITY ORIENTATION VISIT -
TYPICALLY WHILE A CANDIDATE IS CONSIDERING
A RELOCATION OFFER.
COMMUNITY IMMERSION ENGAGEMENT - TYPICALLY AFTER CANDIDATE COMMITS TO
A RELOCATION OFFER.
We specialize in partnering to acclimate professionals and their families.
Community Orientation Visit -
Typically during a candidate's decision making process, or before relocating their family, Community Insiders
will help a candidate and their family become acquainted with the community to assist them in making an informed
decision about their prospective relocation. We'll showcase the local resources and help them narrow down their search for a desired
area to begin their real estate search. This engagement may include visits to schools, churches, parks, shopping centers, country
clubs, athletic resources, entertainment centers, etc... Typically, introductions are made to School Administration,
Coaches, Church Leadership and other relevant contacts to help the family discover local amenities.
Community Immersion Engagement -
Typically after the candidate and their family have decided to make the transition. This engagement focuses
specifically on assimilation into the community. The Community Champion will learn the family's
desired activities and organizations of interest within the community. They will suggest organizations and
resources, provide recommendations, contact information and arrange meaningful introductions where
opportunities exist. For example, if a child is interested in a particular club activity (i.e., lacrosse, volleyball
or equestrian) the Community Champion will provide information about the typical season, tryout dates, contact
information and may arrange a visit to the club. Alternatively, if a family member aspires to get involved
in a particular charity or do faith-based volunteer work, the Community Champion will provide pertinent information
about how to get involved and may arrange an introduction with a current member or executive director.
